Yufei Xiong

I am Yufei Xiong, an artist and producer working across visual art, storytelling, and cultural exchange. With a background in art and design from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, I am interested in how creative ideas travel across cultures, take shape through different media, and connect people in unexpected ways. My practice extends beyond the making of individual works to the stories, collaborations, and possibilities that surround them. Through my engagement with Argentine tango and *Tango Stories in China* (探戈故事在中国), I explore the relationships between movement, identity, culture, and human connection. I am drawn to the space between artistic vision and its realization — where an idea can become an image, a story, a conversation, an experience, or a tangible object. Moving between creative disciplines and cultural contexts, I see producing as an extension of artistic practice: a way to bring people, ideas, and resources together to make something meaningful.
