NEW RENAISSANCE

For collectors / New Renaissance

Get to know the people behind the work.

New Renaissance connects collectors and people curious about art with artists and their practice. Follow work over time, learn what matters to its maker and develop your own point of view before deciding what to collect.

Core participation is free. Membership is currently by invitation, for adults aged 18 and over.

Inside the community

A place to take part.

01

Discover with context.

An artwork is a starting point. Explore an artist’s other work, read their writing and look at the projects they are developing. The network brings these parts of a practice together.

02

Keep track of what interests you.

Follow artists and save discoveries you want to revisit. Your interests can develop through the work itself, the conversations around it and the people you meet.

03

Find guidance when you need it.

Our art advisory offers a separate, personal service for acquisitions, collections and commissions. You can contact the advisory without joining the network. Scope, responsibilities and fees are agreed before paid work begins.

A place for your work, interests and connections.

Explore before joining

Meet the practice behind the profile.

Read public perspectives from our Journal and discover the profiles and work that members choose to share beyond the network.

A useful beginning

Start with a clear intention.

  1. 01

    Begin with attention.

Choose a work you want to spend time with. Notice its materials, scale and subject, and write down what you would like to understand about it.

  2. 02

    Follow the practice.

Look at how the artist’s work develops. Read their profile and Journal, and ask about the decisions behind a piece rather than relying on a single image.

  3. 03

    Clarify the practical details.

Before an acquisition, establish who is selling the work and ask about price, condition, provenance, documentation, framing and delivery. Use personal advisory when you need help coordinating that process.

Explore personal collection advisory

Before you join.

Do I need an existing art collection?

No. Curiosity is enough. You can join to discover artists and learn, whether you own many works or are considering your first.

Is joining the network the same as hiring an advisor?

No. Core network participation is free. Art advisory is a separate service with an agreed scope and commercial terms.

Do I have to make my collection public?

No. Your profile and each piece of shared content have audience controls. Private collecting records remain private; choosing a public profile does not publish your collection.

How do I join?

Use a current member’s invitation, or join the waitlist to express your interest. Membership is for adults aged 18 and over. A waitlist registration does not create an account or guarantee an invitation.
